Zatu Review Summary

It’s not wrong to talk about Christmas in February? Right?

I feel completely privileged to have managed to get hold of this set. It is an absolute beaut and a real pleasure to build with my youngest who wanted a Lego Santa Sleigh for Christmas. I’ve no idea if he knew about this set or it was just in his head but it 100% delivered on all expectations.

The Build

The attention to details in this set is really quite remarkable. The pieces that jump out for me are the amazing reindeer included. 4 stunning looking models that stand out. If I am being critical I would question why Lego didn’t go all in for 9? That seems odd but then it would be an incredibly long piece. What I’ve learned, reindeer have been hard to track down for fans wanting to make their own sleighs, so Lego have delivered here in order to meet a huge fan expectation.

The sleigh itself is also a thing to marvel over when completed. There is a lot of work and detail that has gone into it and I was really surprised just how long it took us to put it together. Lots of pieces that my youngest found very challenging and needed support with. The age rating is in the right place for this build as it was too much for him on his own.

Then there is a Santa mini which is just fab. With his naughty and nice list included to check it has all the right details to finish off the model. Well done Lego.

After Build

There is a lot you can do with this piece after completion. Some people will look to add it as an ornament around the home or add it into an overall collection of models. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

It could easily be used as a festive centre piece on your Christmas table which is very cool and something I am going to look to try in a future year. The kids will just go after it at present.

Or, if like our home, it hit the play arena and Santa very much went on his rounds delivering all the Lego gifts included to our Lego friends in our home. The cast of Marvel, Bluey and Star Wars all received a delightful selection of toys for Christmas. It really was a joy to behold how they recreate the magic of Father Christmas in their play.

I do hope to see this set come out again and again for play in our home. Years down the line it without doubt will become a permanent Christmas feature within our home also as it is just too awesome to sit hidden away in a Box.

Final Thoughts

Santa’s Sleigh is a rare "perfect" seasonal set. It avoids the gimmicks of some smaller polybags and instead provides a high-quality, display-ready model that feels timeless. It’s a celebration of the holiday spirit, packed with enough reindeer to make even the Grinch smile. We love it and are so pleased to have it within our collection. I cannot wait to see what festive Lego is introduced down the line that we can add to this set.
