To complement the heavier anti-aircraft fire provided by the Type 88 75mm guns, a SNLF Company had a light anti-aircraft gun platoon, which could contain a variety of light anti-aircraft weapons, with the Type 92 20mm being the most common. The Type 92 20mm is essentially a scaled up version of the 13.2mm machine-gun which was modelled on a French Hotchkiss design.
