Nature is always an amazing and beautiful thing to behold. But often we look at the wide-angle vistas of the mountains, or the trees. Occasionally we may enjoy the roses and get close enough to smell their fragrant scent. But look even closely and you might see the critters and creature that pulsate across this earth. Insects even beautiful ones like the ladybird don’t get the glory they deserve. But designer Morten Blaajerg who created Ladybird is also publishing under his own team’s name.
Ladybird is the 1-4 player tableau building colour themed bug game, with an advertised playtime of 30 to 90 minutes. The game will be played over 15 set rounds, where your bugs will live fulfilled life cycles to score the most points. With a modest goal of £2800 on Kickstater, the project was generously funded within 25 hours after launching. The project even offered the game or two copies or even an artwork of your choice to hang with pride once the game arrives.
The game feature different ladybird types and can be found in their various 4 lifecycle states during the game. Your goal is to build matching-coloured colours of different ladybirds through the 4 cycles. This game will feature linen finished cardboard tiles and box. The game will also be making its way to Essen and can already be played on Tabletop Simulator.
