The unstoppable force of the Emperor joins the Empire with Emperor Palpatine, Sith Master! This leader of the Sith brings his knowledge of the dark side and immortality to the field. Although Palpatine isn't incredible in a close range fight, his ability to support allies makes him a force to be reckoned with!
Born on Naboo, Sheev Palpatine became the apprentice of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Taking the name Darth Sidious, and with the goal of extending his life and reign forever, he decided to take the universe with politics. Masterminding the Separatist Crisis and the Clone Wars, Palpatine became the Supreme Chancellor of the galaxy. After enacting Order 66, he took on a new apprentice in Anakin Skywalker and ended a millennium of democracy. But, when attempting to replace Anakin with his son, Luke Skywalker, the duo turned on him and killed his original body.
In game, Palpatine is a supportive unit based around powering up other Empire forces. His special cards Emperor and Tempt allow him to buff the damage of any unit on his side. Unlimited Power gives him unlimited range to use these abilities. Dark Energy allows Palpatine to move enemy units into range of his own.
He's not bad on his own though! The Emperor's Force Lightning ability lets him ignore all defenses on opposing units! Force Lightning also works at range, allowing him to beat melee users fast. Corrupting Force means that stacking the Empire with powerful units can be a good strategy. This card makes all units take damage, but if your opponent has many weaker units they'll feel the pain!
