There is so much Lord of the Rings action at the moment in the board gaming world. Or at least it feels like that to me with all sorts of games on the market at present. It’s awesome as I love Lord of the Rings.
Asmodee UK have announced on their social media that an expansion is due imminently for the popular Duel game in Middle Earth Allies. This expansion set sees new characters from the epic story coming to join in the fight.
Duel for Middle Earth is a strict 2 player game that sees Allies of the Fellowship take on the forces of the Dark Lord Sauron. There are 3 different victory conditions that are possible and if any one is completed then the player will win. These possible scenarios for victory are all unfolding at the same time so players need to be mindful of what the opposition are doing.
Given the huge volume of characters in the epic story, we can all be very excited with this expansion and more characters entering the fight. I know I am.
Asmodee UK is telling us October 2025 is the due date for this expansion. Let the Duel for Middle Earth rage on!
