The world of roleplaying is ever progressing, whether this is in the form of revised rule sets or new adventures. There is a wealth of useful information out there, for both published campaigns and food for homebrews. Let’s take a look at some of the recent news you may have missed!
Wrath & Glory (Warhammer 40K). Wrath & Glory is a good system for storytelling style play. Shipping this quarter has been the latest rulebook, ‘Darktide: Extraction’. A five-part adventure for Wrath & Glory, the adventure forms an Imperium themed, Inquisitorial campaign diving into hive life. The book contains useful guide information on Hive Tertium, the community, encounters and more rewards and gear. If you prefer published scenarios or you simply want something already prepared for you, this will be helpful and if you usually run homebrew work, this will nonetheless add another good source of material.
Pathfinder 2e. Paizo have previously produced adventure path supplements each month. Starting next year, they will instead produce quarterly hardback adventure paths, with all adventure path modules contained in a single book. The advantage here is to have an entire adventure to run with from the off, rather than wait for the instalments, although the convenience of all the modules in one place is helpful. Pathfinder 2e is a good system for fantasy themed campaigns with an excellent degree of detail and variety for regular play.
Cyberpunk Red. In case you missed it, R. Talsorian Games have released a new DLC for the RPG, ‘Going Quiet’ – a set of guidance tools for stealth scenarios like heists and cons. It has the usual section on additional gear. It’s only seven pages, but it’s a free PDF and therefore if you play in the time of the Red, what’s not to like!
