This is really quite something. There’s been a lot of chatter over the last month or two about a new and long anticipated Smash Up Expansion, I’ve been following it. It is coming now! It’s bringing a lot with it also and the news is big.
Alderac Entertainment Group have been responsible for some huge gaming hits over many years now. Games like Smash Up, Calico, Tiny Towns, Cubitos, Let’s go Japan, and so many more. They’re big and this announcement feels huge! They are bringing a suite of items to an upcoming Kickstarter campaign very soon and they have branded this “Into the Fun Factory.”
What does the kickstarter campaign include?
Smash Up: Half the battle. The next installment of Smash Up is coming in the form of popular Toy commercials from back in the day. 4 more factions to add to the series.
Into the Machine. A 2-5 player Robot racing game that looks highly entertaining.
The rise of the mighty Macros. These little additions are bringing new layers of depth to existing games. These games are Space Base, Ready Set Bet, Whirling Witchcraft and Tiny Towns.
Let’s Go Japan is getting a 5th player added into the game. It was demanded by gamers and AEG listened.
A War Chest expansion in the form of shock tactics.
Reprints. Pay attention to what is coming here as AEG are offering the chance to pick up missed content.
There is so much coming. There is more detail on the Kickstarter page however I feel there is plenty more to be released on this news. I’m especially intrigued to see how gamers can go about packing this content. I certainly wouldn’t pay for it all, I do not own a lot of the above content so it wouldn’t be any good for me. I feel other customers may feel the same. I would imagine you can select the parts you are interested in though. Let’s see what happens when this launches and we go Into the Fun Factory.
