Lightfish Games is bringing us a brand-new tabletop RPG that combines cyberpunk themes with old school role-playing!
Into the Cyberdark…
Step into the boots of a darkrunner, adrenaline-junkie outlaws who use the net to gain wealth and infamy. Lightfish Games has officially launched the Kickstarter for Cyberdark RPG, a gritty, gothic tabletop game set in a dystopian underworld. The game will obviously centre around the infamous cyberpunk genre, amongst many other games such as Cyberpunk (of course) and Shadowrun.
The Kickstarter has received £19,000 from an initial goal of £5000, proving that the cyberpunk game is still very much in demand!
Set between the physical world – termed the Meatgrid – and the Cyberdark, the grim webscape that separates humanity from the horrors that await there. The system of the game is adapted from the popular Shadowdark RPG rules, so if you’ve played similar d20 games, you’ll feel right at home!
Sticking with the cyberpunk theme, the dystopian character classes mirror their fantasy counterparts: Breaker (Warriors), Slicer (Thieves), Codecaster (Wizard), and Synthsmith (Priests), and each class has it’s own strengths and weaknesses. The game looks extremely promising to deliver a unique and exciting concept in a heavily loved genre.
The Kickstarter campaign for Cyberdark RPG ends on 19th Novemeber 2025 – back the project now to be one of the first darkrunners to escape into the Cyberdark!
