The Toy of the Year 2026 finalists have been revealed by The Toy Foundations and The Toy Association at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair!
Known as the “Oscars of the toy industry”, the TOTY Awards recognise and celebrate the best toys and games of the year. The Chicago Toy & Game Fair is North America’s largest fair for toy and game enthusiasts, and there are some amazing finalists that have been named for 2026’s awards!
The Finalists
A total of 113 finalists have been revealed across 16 categories, including wiggly fidget collectables and a slime dinosaur hatching out of an egg! Some specific items include collectable TCG’s such as the Pokemon Mega Evolution ETB and MTG Spider-Man Bundle! Toys and Action Figures range from Super Mario’s Bowser figure to DOOM’s Slayer McFarlane figure!
Categories include Action Figures, Collectables, Construction, Creative Toys, Dolls, Education, Infant/Toddler, Outdoor, and more. These finalists highlight the best toys and games out there right now, and is a great way to bring them to the attention of the masses. For shoppers, this is the time to get ahead of the Christmas shopping rush! Fans of all ages are welcomed to vote on Toyawards.org for their favourite product in each of the 16 categorises up until 7th January 2026. Pamela Mastrota has said that “…we’re also championing the cause at the heart of [the TOTY awards] – helping children in need experience the comfort and happiness that play provides.”
