The political games of Arrakis are about to get even more dangerous! Dune: Imperium is getting a brand-new expansion, with Conspiracy heading to retail in Q4 2026. Published by Dire Wolf Digital, the expansion takes players into a tense new chapter of the Dune universe. Paul Atreides is now Emperor, but peace is nowhere to be found. War continues across the Imperium, while his enemies quietly work behind the scenes to bring him down.
Basically, things are going about as well as you'd expect in the Dune universe!

The big addition in Conspiracy is, unsurprisingly, the new Conspiracy cards. These introduce effects that can stick around for longer, giving players fresh ways to influence the game and potentially disrupt their opponents' plans. But that's not all that's arriving in the expansion. Players will also gain new opportunities to raid planets, adding another way to interact with the board and shake up their strategies. Imperial Edicts are also being introduced, giving the game another layer of variety and helping keep each playthrough feeling fresh. With politics, warfare, and backstabbing already being central to Dune, these additions sound like a pretty natural fit!
Become the Emperor!
Perhaps the most dramatic addition is Overthrow Mode. In this mode, one player takes on the role of the Emperor, while everyone else joins forces against them. Instead of every player simply fighting for their own position, the table gets split into one powerful ruler and a group of opponents determined to bring them down. If you've ever wanted to sit at the table and declare yourself ruler of the Imperium, this is your chance. Just don't get too comfortable on that throne!

When combined with the base game, Dune: Imperium – Conspiracy supports one to four players aged 14 and up. The expansion is currently scheduled to arrive in retail during Q4 2026, giving Dune fans another reason to return to one of modern board gaming's most popular sci-fi settings. With new cards, planetary raids, Imperial Edicts and a whole new way to challenge the Emperor, Conspiracy looks ready to make life on Arrakis even more unpredictable. Just remember, in Dune, trusting the person sitting next to you is probably the first mistake you can make!
