| The Mad King's Ire is a co-operative fantasy dungeon crawler for 1-4 players in which you and your fellow heroes are trapped in a cruel king's realm and must survive his twisted entertainment. The dungeon builds itself as you explore, so you can be playing within minutes and no two delves play out the same way. Everyone acts at the same time, combining skills and actions without ever waiting for a turn. Combat uses dice that are not purely down to luck: skills and items let you manipulate rolls, trigger combos and turn the tide of a fight. Choose from four heroes (Juggernaut, Troubadour, Assassin and Glyphweaver), earn experience and shape your build from over 100 skills and more than 40 items. Pick a quick Challenge task, push on through the escalating Gauntlet, follow the full Campaign to a final showdown with the Mad King, or fight your former allies in the competitive Arena mode. Challenge, Gauntlet and Campaign can also be played as a solo game. Playing time is around 1-2 hours and the game is recommended for ages 14+. According to the publisher's campaign listing, the box includes four character boards and standees, 42 dungeon tiles, more than 500 cards (rooms, items, tasks, campaign, Ire, skills, foes, narrative, wounds and escalation), a range of tokens and counters and 16 dice (final contents may vary). Part of the Shattered Destinies universe from Converge Games, with expansions available separately. | Regular price
