| Fantasy Tiles is a tactical tile-laying game for 2 to 4 players from Next Move Games, the studio behind Azul. Designed by Bruno Cathala and Theo Rivière with artwork by Dan Gartman, it invites you to build a colourful shared kingdom populated by elves, dragons, goblins, dwarves and other fantasy peoples. On your turn you add illustrated wooden tiles to the growing grid, placing them in a row or column that groups either identical peoples or entirely different ones. Matching characters trigger special powers, bonus spaces and treasure boost the value of a move, and every tile already on the table opens new chances to extend lines and score more gold. The challenge is making the most of the current layout without setting up a bigger turn for the player after you. Play it as a free-for-all or in teams, where partners can swap tiles and share the benefit of each other's bonuses. The game ends when the tile draw pile runs out and the highest score wins. With a playing time of around 30 minutes and ages 10+, it is an easy-to-teach, replayable choice for fans of tile-placement games with a fantasy theme. | Regular price
