| Ankar is Against You The shada is a powerful new elemental-based faction that takes advantage of terrain differences the way no other faction ever has. Each shada minion has a specific type of terrain it can move on in addition to path, forcing you and your opponents to view the map differently and take advantage of each unique layout. In addition to the unique terrain movement abilities, each minion has a special ability it can take advantage of while on that terrain. The faction's spires also benefit from specific terrain placement, boosting their abilities and promoting strategic tile control and variety. Terrain bonuses become even more lethal with fortress upgrades that tie boosted CP and multi-terrain types into spire placement. Combine Your Forces The shada boast a unique promotion system in which their four basic minion types (stone, wind, fire, and water) can combine with each other and form unique and powerful new minions. Fire and water become steam, and wind and stone become dust. These new minions boast new terrain allowances and abilities, and their high combination variety allows you to adapt your strategy to every new opponent. Your fortress upgrades will also boost your combination abilities, allowing you new opportunities and Source rewards for combining units.
