If you love the tension of Jenga but want something a little more colorful and considerably softer, you need to check out The Fuzzies. I especially love dexterity games for parties because they are easy to get people playing. The Fuzzies is the kind of game that’s quick, silly and anyone can play.
How It Plays
The setup is simple. You build a tower out of brightly colored fuzzy balls, then draw cards that tell you how to manipulate it. Maybe you need to pull out a specific color. Maybe you have to use tweezers. Whatever the card says, the goal is the same: get the ball out and make sure the tower doesn’t fall. The game is tactile. The tower gets wobblier as you play on and everyone's watching and judging.
Why I Like It
The Fuzzies plays well with both kids and adults. It’s good with your nieces and with a few drinks deep. The rules are easy, the components are fun to mess with, and the physical challenge creates the kind of ridiculous tension that at worse will make you laugh
Pros
- Fast 10 minute playtime
- Bright and pretty
- Super tactile
- Great party game
- Anyone can play
Considerations
- The game may be harder for those with color blindness
- The tower is going to fall eventually, and when it does, you'll know it
- The Fuzzies are soft and fuzzy, so I'd be a careful about where you take this one
Bottom Line
The Fuzzies is like Jenga but pretty. It’s colorful, tactile, and easy to teach. It’s one of those silly games that just works
