Rebellion Unplugged has revealed some of its plans for Gen Con 2026, and it sounds like the publisher is going all in for this year’s show!
The company has confirmed new demos, convention exclusives, retail launches and even a brand-new game announcement planned during the event. Gen Con 2026 takes place from July 30 to August 2 in Indianapolis, and Rebellion looks set to have a busy few days.
For fans of Sniper Elite, Joyride and Tunnels & Trolls, there should be plenty happening at the booth and across the gaming halls throughout the convention.
Sniper Elite Expands Again!
One of the biggest announcements is the launch of Sniper Elite: Operation Kraken.
The new expansion will officially hit retail during Gen Con once Gamefound backers begin receiving their copies. Rebellion says the show floor shop will also stock the Rebellion Exclusive storage box, the Sniper Elite screen and the Escalation Expansion.
The company also mentioned that Sniper Elite products have been difficult to find in the US recently, so this event will give players another chance to grab copies directly.
Demo sessions for the core game will also be running during the convention, alongside free enamel pin giveaways for players who stop by!
Rebellion Opens Its Own Shop
This year also marks the first time Rebellion Unplugged will sell directly at Gen Con.
The publisher will be set up at booth #468 with a selection of games, accessories and exclusive products that are normally only available through Rebellion itself.
Convention-exclusive items have become a huge draw at events like Gen Con over the last few years, especially for collectors looking for limited extras or harder-to-find releases.
Joyride Heads To The Show Floor
Fans of Joyride are getting some attention too!
Rebellion confirmed that players will be able to buy the Turbo all-in box directly at the event, while demos of the core game will also run in the gaming halls throughout the convention.
Players trying the game can also grab free enamel pins and copies of the latest Car Club promo.
The company has clearly leaned heavily into convention extras this year, which makes sense for an event as large as Gen Con.
Longer RPG Sessions Planned
Rebellion is also bringing Tunnels & Trolls: A New Age to the show following the project’s successful Kickstarter campaign.
Rather than short demo sessions, the publisher says attendees will be able to play extended four-hour adventures tied to the quickstart experience already shown off previously.
That should give players a much better feel for how the game actually plays over a full session rather than a brief demo slot.
Players who take part will also receive another enamel pin, continuing what is apparently becoming a major theme of the booth this year!
A Mystery Announcement Teased
Alongside all the confirmed games, Rebellion also teased a completely new project that will be revealed during the Gamefound Feast at the start of the convention.
Details are still being kept secret for now, although the publisher hinted that fans of a currently redacted property or game series will want to pay attention.
That is vague enough to spark plenty of guessing before the event begins!
Gen Con Looks Busy Already
Gen Con is already shaping up to be packed with major tabletop announcements, previews and launches this year, and Rebellion Unplugged looks set to be one of the more active publishers at the show.
Between new expansions, convention exclusives, extended RPG sessions and mystery reveals, there is clearly a lot planned across the four-day event.
And if nothing else, attendees are probably going to leave with quite a few enamel pins!
