Bloomsbury Publishing has been a leading publishing house for over three decades, and have recently decided to make a huge change to return more directly to the publishing industry.
After 11 years of bringing amazing tabletop titles to our homes, Osprey Games has officially been put up for sale by parent company, Bloomsbury Publishing. This shift will enable Bloomsbury to focus on the passion that started it all: books, war games, and RPG's.
Titles to be Proud Of
Since joining the tabletop space in 2015, Osprey Games have helped to deliver some incredible board games. Titles include Cryptid, The King is Dead, and Undaunted as just a few of their most popular.
Osprey released a heartfelt public statement on Bluesky, that explains their decision to sell their board game and card game division, and their huge appreciation to all the designers, artists, and customers who have supported them throughout their journey. Part of their statement read as follows:
“We are immensely proud of the exceptional catalogue of board and card games that we have had the privilege to publish over the years. We have worked with some of the very best designers and illustrators that the industry has to offer, alongside many other incredible contributors, and we are deeply grateful to the talented and passionate team who have brought these games to life."
For one final goodbye, Osprey will be attending UK Games Expo later this month, so make sure to pay them a visit! They will be demoing Threaded, Flip Pick Towers and Rattlesnake.
