Kronologic is heading to the future!

A close-up of a board game, featuring a futuristic woman in the background

The Kronologic series is back with another brain-teasing mystery, and this time players are travelling hundreds of years into the future! Hachette Boardgames has officially revealed Kronologic: Babylon 2500, the latest standalone entry in the growing deduction series. Packed with multiple mysteries, replayable cases and a futuristic setting, this could be the most intriguing Kronologic game yet!

A new mystery awaits

Babylon 2500 is the newest game in the Kronologic deduction series, created by Super Meeple and OriGames.

Rather than revisiting familiar settings, this latest installment transports players to a futuristic version of Babylon, where three mysterious cases are waiting to be solved.

Every game tells a different story

One of the biggest strengths of Babylon 2500 is its replayability.

The game includes three separate mysteries, but each one can unfold in multiple different ways. Every mystery features five possible solutions, with the exact outcome depending on the difficulty level selected before play begins.

That means even after solving a case once, you'll still have fresh puzzles waiting the next time it hits the table.

For fans of deduction games, that's a huge bonus and should help keep the experience feeling fresh across repeated sessions.

Gather clues and connect the dots

Gameplay follows the deduction-focused formula that the Kronologic series has become known for.

During each turn, players reveal a piece of public information while also collecting a private clue from one of the available locations. Those clues are recorded on each player's notepad, gradually building a web of evidence that points towards the solution.

The challenge comes from interpreting that information before anyone else.

You'll need to work out which clues matter most, eliminate impossible options and make logical connections faster than your opponents. The first player to correctly solve the mystery claims victory!

It's the sort of game where every note scribbled down could make all the difference.

Designed for quick sessions

Although deduction games can sometimes stretch into lengthy affairs, Babylon 2500 keeps things moving.

The game supports one to four players, making it suitable for solo investigators as well as groups looking for a shared puzzle-solving experience.

Each session is expected to last around 30 minutes, making it an easy game to fit into a family games night or an evening packed with several different titles.

It's recommended for players aged 10 and above, giving it a broad audience that includes families, casual gamers and dedicated mystery fans alike.

The creative team returns

Babylon 2500 has been designed by Fabien Gridel and Yoann Levet, continuing the design approach that has helped establish the Kronologic series.

The game's futuristic visuals are brought to life by artists Arch Apolar and Yann Valeani, whose artwork helps create a distinctive sci-fi atmosphere without losing the clean presentation that's important in a deduction game.

Coming this September

Hachette Boardgames has confirmed that Kronologic: Babylon 2500 will arrive at retail in September 2026.

Another promising deduction game

Deduction games continue to be one of tabletop gaming's most popular genres, and Babylon 2500 looks set to offer another clever twist on the formula.

Between its futuristic setting, multiple mysteries, replayable cases and quick playtime, it has all the ingredients for an engaging puzzle experience that's easy to bring back to the table again and again.
