This is some very exciting news! Frank West, designer of Isle of Cats, City of Kings and Emberleaf, has just announced his newest game and it nods back to Isle of Cats. This time though, we are rescuing penguins!
Isle of Penguins is a brand new, 1-4 player game (which will increase to 6 players with an expansion) in which you will participate in open drafting and placing penguins on your own uniquely shaped raft in a bid to save penguins, fill up your raft, while completing families (groups) of the same colour penguins, protecting eggs, and competing to complete lessons for points.
There will be multiple different game modes in the box, including a family mode, and the simultaneous tile placement means that this will be a long game to play.
The initial art reveal looks gorgeous, and echoes that of the Isle of Cats. We don't have long to wait to find out more, with the kickstarter campaign launching just over a month away on July 7th and I would expect lots of exciting information to come out over the next few months on this one!
