Think you’ve got a knack for spotting a liar? Oink Games is putting your detective skills to the test with Eggsposed, a new hidden-identity game arriving this October!
The game combines social deduction, secret roles, and plenty of suspicious egg-swapping into a compact experience that can be played with as few as three people. It is set to launch on October 23, giving players a fresh way to bring a little paranoia to the tabletop!
Bright birds vs night birds!
In Eggsposed, players secretly become either Bright Birds or Night Birds.
The Bright Birds are trying to protect their nest, while the sneaky Night Birds have a much more questionable plan. Their goal is to secretly get three of their eggs into a nest by the end of the game.
That sounds simple enough, right? Not quite!
Players need to watch what everyone else is doing, work out who they can trust, and inspect the eggs sitting in the nest. Eggs can also be swapped around, meaning the situation can change quickly.
One minute you think you've worked everything out. The next, someone has moved an egg, and you're back to square one!
You can still play!
One of the more interesting twists in Eggsposed is that getting your identity discovered does not automatically knock you out of the game.
That's a big change from many hidden-role games, where being exposed can leave you sitting on the sidelines while everyone else carries on. Here, victory comes down to which eggs remain in the nest.
That means even if everyone knows you're a Night Bird, you can still influence what happens. You might have to change your approach, convince other players to help you, or simply cause enough confusion to get those eggs where they need to be!
It also means you don't necessarily need to spend the whole game lying through your teeth. Sometimes, letting people know exactly who you are could be part of the plan!

Eggsposed will officially launch on October 23, but players will have opportunities to try it earlier at several major gaming events.
Oink Games will showcase the game at Game Market Autumn 2026 in Chiba on October 17 and 18, followed by SPIEL Essen in Germany from October 22 to 25. It will also appear at PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia in December.
With its small player count and straightforward premise, Eggsposed could be an interesting choice for anyone who enjoys games such as The Resistance or One Night Ultimate Werewolf, but wants something a little different.
So, gather your flock, protect your nest, and keep a very close eye on those eggs. Somebody's definitely hiding something!
