Relic Rush is a fun project that I have been introduced to recently that looks like a delightfully fun game. What I find most intriguing is that it isn’t hitting a crowd funding website, the creators have informed me they are entirely self funded, in pre production with the aspirations of hitting the retail shelves this Summer in 2026. This feels incredibly refreshing to me and very old school and making a product to sell and customers will get it straight away, as opposed to waiting a year or more for the concept to be created.
So what are the creators, fun based games, saying about their game.
“In Relic Rush, you are a Wizard guiding your Champion through a dense, ever-changing maze. But you aren’t the only one with the power to reshape the maze, and your Champion isn’t the only one in the race.
You don’t just play on a board - you build it.
Every session of this indie strategy game begins with a modular board, and all the players collaboratively construct a complex gauntlet of walls, one-way tunnels, and challenging terrain. Because the maze is constructed by the players themselves, the tactical possibilities are infinite and no two races are ever the same.
This is a high-stakes race where your rivals are the greatest obstacle.
Race, Fight, Loot, Obstruct and Surprise your Rivals!”
I’m totally intrigued by the concept and having read the details on the website I would love to have a go at the game as it looks a lot of fun. The game is for 2-6 players to play competitively or in teams as well as an optional solo play. The suggested playing time is 90-180 minutes which is quite a time range as well.
There is plenty of detail about the game on their website as well as a full gallery showing the game in play and other links to find out more details. Good luck Fun based games, I wish you every success with your game.
