As soon as I saw the massive wheels and teeny tiny minifigure of the Lego City Rides sets I was sold. A lover of all things cars and Lego I have quite the collection from F1 to Spiderman vehicle and even a classic City Police car. These cute little sets are just delightful for children and over-grown children like me. Suitable for those 5 and older the simple but effective models cannot help but make you smile.
Containing full size wheels, a digger scoop and the smallest mini-figure I have seen, this Construction Loader set has it all. With the positive glow of yellow bricks, the set has a hook and an orange light on the roof too. With a tiny 61-piece build count you’re going to be getting a fair number of bricks for the sub 10 quid price. With an around 5–10-minute build time this set is perfect for children who love Lego and construction vehicles. A simple build but with smaller Lego pieces, there isn’t anything in the construction itself, but the finished product is a fantastic result.
The greatest addition is the tiny figurine which is all one piece and has not bending of the legs. This sweet little guy adds to the whole theming, and I particularly love the oversized wheels making this set so cool looking. The opportunity to include the police car and fire truck version means there is hours of imaginative play on offer. The set will not look out of place in a full Lego City as the childs ages because the proportions of the loader are just right for the junior minifig.
With working scoop and rear hook, there is plenty to pretend and imagine with this model. I also like the elephant logo on the roof of the truck. The massive wheels roll freely and speed down imaginary roads. I personally will be looking to build my collection of Lego City Rides, with 4 vehicles currently in the collection.
