Have you ever imagined what it would be like to own a zoo? Well, Zoo Tycoon: the board game is making that a tabletop reality!
That’s right, Marc Dur, the designer behind ‘Darwin’s Choice’, and Treecer, the publishers are better known for ‘Tipping Point’ have paired up to bring this video game classic to life.
Advertised as a competitive resource management game for 2-4 players. Zoo Tycoon: the board game challenges players to carefully balance group and enclosure sizes, social composition, and guest proximity. All with the aim of achieving the right balance between animal and guest happiness.
Gameplay will offer various ways for players to earn points throughout the game. For example, they can build a zoo that focuses on marquee animals like Lions, Gorillas, or Elephants to attract and thrill guests. Or develop partnerships with National Parks on conservation and reintroduce endangered species back into the wild.
Along with player mats, scoring boards and tokens, Zoo Tycoon: the board game also promises 34 different species represented by 230 beautiful animal meeples. Featuring birds, elephants, goats, and pandas; to name just a few.
Publishers Treecer, have promised a game with beautiful components and mechanics that provide a high replayability value time and time again. Giving them the ability to champion classic board game mechanics whilst paying homage to everyone’s favourite tycoon simulator.
