| Warhammer Colour Tone Pro Gnarlwood 3 is the middle tone in the five-tone Gnarlwood family, a 12ml acrylic paint from Games Workshop (code 20-023). This is the earthy centre of the family, a muted khaki-brown that sits comfortably between shadow and highlight. Games Workshop's own Tone Pro showcase paints the leather on an Ironjawz Orruk Megaboss with Gnarlwood 3, which shows where it feels most at home: straps, satchels and worn hide. Sitting between Tone 2 (dark) and Tone 4 (light), it can be shaded or lifted in either direction, which is the idea behind the numbered Tone Pro system. Tone Pro is a Games Workshop range of 30 colours, each in five numbered tones (150 paints in all), with tone 1 the darkest and tone 5 the lightest.
