Carmine Blades 2 is the second-darkest of the five tones in the Carmine Blades ladder from Warhammer Colour Tone Pro. A muted, dusky red-brown with a slightly mauve tint, still dark but warmer than tone 1. Use it to shade between a dark basecoat and a true red, or on its own for dark leather, wine-stained cloth and heavily weathered red paintwork.
It bridges the brown-black of tone 1 and the saturated red of tone 3, so it is the tone to grab when you want the transition to look smooth. As with every Tone Pro paint, one pot can handle basecoating, layering, highlighting, glazing, blending and drybrushing, so you do not need a separate paint for each stage. It is a 12ml pot of acrylic paint.
