One of the most iconic opening scenes to any film for me, the opening scene to Avengers: Infinity War. I cannot spoil this, it’s been out since 2018. Thanos has boarded Thor’s ship and there has clearly been an epic battle but there are bodies everywhere and Thor is clapped in irons. You wonder how? Then there is a little dialogue and that’s when the Hulk comes flying out of nowhere to attack the Mad Titan, Thanos, and as the viewer you just know if it is going to go down. What a scene!
So this is a lovely little lego set that reignites the battle between these immense foes. It’s a very cool set.

Set 76312 with 229 pieces rated as age 7+ with 2 very significant Lego minis included in the set is a straight forward build and rated at the right age appropriate level.

The Build

My 6 year old found it very challenging which shows to me as a parent that it is pitched at the right level. The bulk of the building is in the Hulk Truck. It is big and robust, completely over the top which pretty much describes the Hulk, what you would expect. My kid was very happy upon completion of the set and really appreciated it from the effort put in and completing it.
The Play
There are no tactical bases in this set, no labs or buildings of any sort. Just 2 monstrous battling characters with an enormous truck that backs up the impact of these characters.
The play is a war between these brawlers for supremacy. Lego has leaned into the carnage of these characters and the power they possess. The truck has clearly been designed with the Hulk’s smash features in mind! It encourages the want for an epic showdown between these two Titans.
Surprisingly for Lego, this truck is more durable than a typical Lego vehicle. Big and designed in such a way for impact and destruction, aligning completely with the Hulk. It’s great for kids to play where some rough handling is likely.
The set slots in nicely with any other Lego sets you may have, particularly if you already have Marvel content as this set will feel right at home amongst your collection. If you have more Avengers cast then you definitely have the opportunity to recreate moments from Infinity War or Endgame. We all want to see Thanos lose.
Collections
I’m not a Lego collector, I get sets mainly for my kids to play with. I can imagine if any collectors are picking this set up it is for the mini’s and the mini’s alone. The truck doesn’t strike me as a collecting/display model.
Final Thoughts
I’m a huge Marvel fan so any Lego content is a win for me but this set is lovely. With the Hulk and Thanos contained within, I’m sold and am so pleased with this set and what it has delivered for my kids. It’s another quality Lego product the delivers and exceeds on all my expectations.
