Agent Avenue might be my favourite small box discovery in 2025. This expansion takes the cat and mouse gameplay of spy vs spy and adds in some additional literal mice!
For the uninitiated, Agent Avenue allows you to play 2 cards from a 4 card hand each turn. One will be your movement, one will be your opponents, and they get to choose which. The twist comes that you choose which two of your cards to put forward, and when making their choice they can only see one of them face up; the other being a nice, or not so nice, surprise.
It’s a simple game as turns go by until one of you catches the other around a small board. It never outstays it’s welcome, and with the addition of “black market” power cards you both gain for landing on a corner space, you rarely get two games which feel the same.

The expansion adds things in two ways. The first is a heap more of the black market cards to mix things up.
The second is the namesake Division M, complete with charming artwork of Blues Brothers-esque mice, and a small meeple of each colour. The meeples come onto the main board the first time a Division M card is played, and each subsequent card allows them to move around the board in either direction.
And with them comes a new path to victory: If Division M lands exactly on the same space as your main Agent at the end stage of a turn, you lose.
Division M takes the best parts of this small box and turns the dial up on them all, and I am already hooked. From the Cold War mixed with Zootopia aesthetic it can appeal to almost any age.
