Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Treasury Safe is a beautiful wooden puzzle box that does give you a bit of trouble at the start.
It arrives in a lovely presentation box which shows a lot of the puzzle's beauty. I will admit that when I received it, I didn’t think the puzzle would give me much trouble at all. I have played many puzzles and puzzle boxes over the years, and this one did look fairly easy just from the exterior look of the box.
I can wholeheartedly admit that I was really wrong on this, as I started off well the first part of the puzzle, as it was clear and simple just from looking at the puzzle box. Even that actually started to cause me some issues after I thought I had managed to unlock the puzzle box.

I have played many puzzles and puzzle boxes over the years, and this one did look fairly easy just from the exterior look of the box.

Once I had managed to get it open, I was then stumped as there was one final part that I needed to figure out to be able to retrieve the coin that is within the puzzle box.
This is why I got extremely frustrated as I couldn’t see or feel any Parts that would loosen or move. I had to put the puzzle box down for a little while as I got very annoyed by it because I was so close I could hear the coin moving within, but I just couldn’t get to it.
Considering when I bought this, I assumed it would be a fairly easy puzzle. It actually took me nearly three hours to figure out the last part. And once I had managed to do this, I was so happy but ever so frustrated that it had taken me that long to solve the puzzle.
I was humbled by the Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Treasury Safe as it is labelled as an intermediate puzzle for ages 6+.

The Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Treasury Safe puzzle box is very detailed in its design and artwork on the box. It feels nice in the hands, not cheap and tacky.
My Favourite Part
Accidently finding the last step required to open the puzzle box.
My Final Thoughts
The Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Treasury Safe is a great puzzle box for new puzzle box solvers, but also long-time puzzle solvers will still really enjoy this.
