What is included in each box:

  • Six unique foil cards based on the theme of the box; all featuring connecting artwork that combine to create a scene across the six cards.
  • Six art cards featuring the same art as the scene cards.
  • 3 play boosters of marvel super heroes.
  • A display stand to hold the cards together to create the scene.

The Heroes box:

Featuring the six original MCU avengers, this box contains: Iron Man, Futurist Paragon; Hulk, Always Angry; Thor, Guardian of Midgard; Black Widow, Intel Expert; Captain America, Unbound; Hawkeye, Trick Shot.

Iron man, Futurist Paragon: 4 generic and 2 blue 5/5 flyer; that at the start of your combat turns an artifact or creature into a 5/5 artifact creature with flying. Interestingly it's not till end of turn and not just your own things he can target so there's more to the card then just making flying 5/5's. Useful in a blue artifact themed deck.

Hulk, Always Angry: 5 generic and 2 red 9/9 trampler, that destroys all artifacts when it enters and attacks each combat if able. Nothing remarkable here since the artifact destruction hits its caster too. If you run little artifacts, then hulks impacts can be minimised but otherwise it's a decent 99 card.

Thor, Guardian of Midgard: 3 generic and 2 red 5/5 flyer, whenever you deal noncombat damage to an opponent you may exile that amount from the top of your deck, you may play them this turn. Thor is the most interesting card here due to its use as a commander. The ability to exile and cast is nothing new to red and the ability with Thor to trigger it so often is great, likewise it's a may ability so it gives the player agency not to exile if they're out of mana or low on cards. Overall, this is an intriguing commander to build around or an easy slot into similar themed decks.

Black Widow, Intel Expert: 2 generic and 1 white 3/3 first striker, that when it deals combat damage to an opponent you and that opponent draw 2 cards. It's an ok ability in a group hug themed deck but otherwise letting your opponent's draw is usually never good and can be easily killed by others to deny you draw.

Captain America, Unbowed: 3 generic and 1 white 3/4 flash, that when it enters gives soldiers and heroes indestructible till end of turn. If you play many soldiers and/or heroes, put it in the deck, otherwise this card isn't for you.

Hawkeye, Trick Shot: 3 generic and 1 red 3/4 first strike and reach, that whenever Hawkeye or another hero you control enters, it deals damage equal to any target equal to the number of heroes you control. An auto includes in any hero deck, the ability to snipe creatures and opponents for damage just by playing your cards is great. Combining this card with a lot of heroes on the board can result in high damage directed towards opponents' life resulting in some quick game-ending damage.

The Villains box:

Seven iconic marvel villains featuring: Ultron, Machine Overlord; Thanos, Death’s Consort; M.O.D.O.K., Evil Intellect; Absorbing Man and Titania; Abomination, Irradiated Brute; Loki, God of Lies.

Ultron, Machine Overlord: 5 generic mana flying 4/4, that gives your other robots and constructs +2/+2. Great in a deck with a lot of robots and/or constructs, otherwise just an ok 5/5 flyer.

Thanos, Death’s Consort: 2 generic and 2 black 3/3 life linker, that gets +1/+1 when another creature dies, great in sacrifice decks otherwise a bit underwhelming for the mad titan.

M.O.D.O.K., Evil Intellect: 3 generic and 2 black 3/5 flyer, whenever you draw your second card each turn, target opponent sacrifices a non-token creature. Useful in decks that draw especially if you can draw 2 on opponents turn. Synergy with other villains as well using conniving abilities. A decent card for a couple of different decks.

Absorbing Man and Titania: 3 generic, 1 red and 1 green 4/5, that double damage from creature sources you control. Doubling damage is great especially as it's not just combat damage but all damage from creatures you control. This gives damaging triggered or activated abilities even more potency and let's Absorbing Man and Titania be an interesting card to build around for commander.

Abomination, Irradiated Brute: 2 generic and 2 green 4/4 trampler, that gets x +1/+1 whenever a villain or gamma creature deals x combat damage. In a deck with lots of villain's abomination will get big quickly but also likely killed just as quick since it has no protection, and in decks without villains and/or gamma creatures its useless.

Loki, God of Lies: 1 generic and 2 red 3/3, that whenever you cast a single target spell at a creature lets you gain control of it till end of turn. If it's your turn it untaps and gains haste. A very fun card to build around, taking your opponent's creatures to surprise block or attack with is great. Add in a sac outlet so you don't have to give them back and Loki truly is a mischievously fun card to play with.
