If you have a little one ready to take their first steps into the galaxy far, far away, the Lego Star Wars Tenoo Jedi Temple set is an absolute must-have! This set, based on the Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures series, which my kids absolutely love. It is a fantastic starter set. It’s colorful, fun, and immediately ready for hours of imaginative Jedi training and adventures.
Minifigures: The Real Force in the Set
Let’s be honest: the minifigures are the star attraction here, and they are genuinely excellent! You get three exclusive figures that look straight out of the Disney+ show: Master Yoda, decked out in his High Republic robes, and the two energetic Padawans, Kai Brightstar and Lys Solay. My kids love these Padawan learners, but Yoda steals the show here for me. It’s Yoda!

The attention to detail on the younglings is brilliant and Lego have really smashed it here. Lys Solay, the Pantoran Jedi, has a stunning, unique purple hairpiece and distinct blue skin tone that really pops. Kai Brightstar is equally cool with his orange cape and vibrant lime green gloves. Both have fun, expressive double-sided heads and their own lightsabers. Having Master Yoda included gives the kids a recognizable mentor figure to guide their training. This trio provides everything needed to recreate scenes or invent entirely new adventures right out of the box.

The Build: Simple and Satisfying
As a 4+ set, the building process is designed to be quick and satisfying for younger fans and new builders. It features large, pre-molded Starter Bricks, meaning less frustration and more instant reward. It only has 124 pieces, but those pieces are used to create three distinct play areas:
1. The Tenoo Temple: Though small, the temple captures the look of the structure from the show. It’s packed with fun details inside, like the bunk beds with a hinged ladder (perfect for tired Padawans!), a little kitchen area complete with a buildable carton of blue milk, and clips to store their lightsabres. The best feature? The “levitating” rock functions out front, which lets kids easily use "the Force" to move the rock! Well done Lego!
2. Jedi Training Grounds: The set includes key training elements like a simplified Training Droid and a balance test area. These are great for role-playing those crucial early Jedi lessons.
3. The Speeder Bike: A little red speeder bike is included, which is simple, sturdy, and has just enough space to let all three minifigures zip off on their next mission. My kids have already had plenty of adventures.
Final Thoughts
While seasoned adult builders might notice the simplicity (and maybe fret a little about the price-per-piece ratio typical of 4+ sets), this set is absolutely perfect for its target audience. The high-quality, printed pieces (no stickers, hurray!) and the exclusive, highly desirable minifigures make it a phenomenal set. With Lego, you have to love that it combines well with… well, all of it.
It introduces the joy of building to pre-schoolers while providing fantastic, show-accurate characters and fun play features to immediately dive into the action. If you're looking for a way to get a young child excited about Star Wars and Lego, the Tenoo Jedi Temple is the perfect vessel. It truly is a great launchpad for Padawans everywhere!
