Even as an adult, I still find myself interested in dinosaurs. Maybe it is due to the length of time they roamed this earth. Of course, the crocodile and alligator give a glimpse (a small one in comparison) into the look and deadliness of these creatures. Whilst history tells of these prehistoric animals, we can never be sure of their Wednesdays to their Thursdays. And so the fun and humorous title of Dino Racer might be a clue towards what they spent their time doing - Racing!
The game is a card flip and reveal racing game, featuring 5 different racers with different odds of winning; the T-Rex is pitted against the Raptor, Stegosaurs Triceratops and the Brontosaurs. The game uses a betting system for players to collect cards on the dino they think will win the race. Underdog games have made Dino Racer for the whole family, including children as young as 8. The rules are simple enough, but with one quick shuffle of the deck the game can be finished in as little as 20 minutes.
The game is set to be released in October of 2026 and comes in an easy travel sized box. The artwork in this one is poppy, and each dino has its own themed colour and artwork. For those who love light games that incorporate everyone, this just might be the release you are looking for as we close in on the winter and (whisper it) Christmas months. What's more, the game can set as little as 2 players against eachother, or up to with 6 players all shouting or agonising together in a game night surely filled with fun and roars.
