Welcome to London's Bad Moon Cafe!

Introduction:

We are Bad Moon Cafe! We are a couple of central London tabletop gaming venues, open now for nearly 8 years. We have two venues - one in Borough and one in Holloway Road. We have a huge space with wargaming tables and board gaming/TCG gaming tables. We host communities for pretty much every tabletop game you can think of! Our goal when we opened was to create an inclusive and open space for people of all walks of life and levels of gaming experience to come and play with friends and find communities for their favourite games.

Our board game collection:

We have a large board game library at our Borough venue - we have around 250 games with every genre represented. Our staff have different personal favourites - Hugh's is Captain Sonar - probably the best team game and one of the best games for 8 players and Wil's current favourite is Lord of the Rings Duel for Middle Earth.

Events & community:

We have a huge number of events at both of our venues. Our focus has always been fostering and supporting the communities around games systems and we have really formalised this in the last couple of years. Every popular TCG and tabletop wargame has ongoing events support, including learn to play, slow-grow, leagues, newbie tournaments and full on tournaments. Our staff are simply the best and their enthusiasm is super important for the continued support of these gaming communities.

Food & drinks:

We have a full bar with beer on tap and cocktails, as well as a good range of snacks and pizzas on offer.

Why people should visit:

People should visit Bad Moon Cafe to experience the best of tabletop gaming in a cool space where they'll feel welcome and included. We have the biggest gaming space in London and you'll be sure to find a board game or event to suit your taste! Our customers always highlight how brilliant our team is as well!
