The wait is over – the Drukhari are storming back into Warhammer 40,000 with a brand-new Codex and a raft of shiny new miniatures! So, buckle up, because things are about to get deliciously unpleasant.
Lady Malys Returns
At the centre of the new Codex is Lady Malys, Archon of the Poisoned Tongue. She comes armed with The Lady’s Blade – a barbed longsword – and a fan of razor-sharp knives. On the tabletop, Malys enhances her unit’s attacks with her mastery of poisons and adds another layer of tactical depth by redeploying Kabalite Warriors before the battle begins. This makes her both a hard-hitting combatant and a disruptive force for opponents trying to predict your moves.
A Fresh Archon for Your Kabal
Alongside Malys comes a brand-new Archon kit. This isn’t just a resculpt – it’s a proper toolbox with multiple body options, heads, and a variety of weapon arms. Rules-wise, we’ll need to wait for the Codex to see which load-outs shine, but the fact you can build a bespoke tyrant for your Kabal makes this kit a win already.
Realspace Raiders Battleforce
The first place you’ll be able to snag that new Archon is in the Realspace Raiders Battleforce – a box that’s basically a sampler platter of Drukhari nastiness. Inside you’ll find:
- 1 Archon (new kit)
- 10 Wyches
- 10 Kabalite Warriors
- 5 Hellions
- 5 Scourges
- 5 Incubi
- 1 Venom transport
Combat Patrol: Coven of Agonies
The new Combat Patrol: Coven of Agonies is a close-combat horror show featuring:
- 1 Haemonculus
- 10 Wracks
- 1 Talos
- 1 Cronos
What’s in the Codex?
Beyond the models, the Codex: Drukhari itself is packed with grim lore, evocative art, and everything you need to run raids straight out of the Dark City. On the rules side, we’re getting five detachments to play with, and a revamped Power from Pain system. Instead of a one-size-fits-all progression, each datasheet now comes with unique Pain abilities you can unlock by spending Pain points. It promises more tactical depth and, hopefully, some love for underused units that might suddenly shine under the new system.
