The global toy industry is back in the spotlight as the Toy & Games Innovation Awards unveils the featured winners of its 2026 programme. Now in its second year, the awards continue to highlight companies and products pushing the boundaries of how people play, learn, and connect.
A changing landscape for play
The awards celebrate excellence across innovation, sustainability, inclusivity, educational value, and quality - key areas shaping the future of the industry. With the global toy and games market continuing to grow, trends like STEM learning, cross-platform play, and a resurgence in classic board games are driving fresh ideas.
Organisers say this year’s winners reflect a blend of nostalgia and innovation, as brands respond to evolving consumer interests across all age groups.
Standout category winners
A wide range of companies picked up awards across core categories. Jazwares secured Playset Product of the Year, while Diamond Art Club led the arts and crafts space.
In plush toys, Randimals stood out, while in games, The Good Guy, Bad Guy, Not So Smart Guy earned Card Game of the Year. PopHaus Collective also received recognition in the classic games category.
Educational and developmental toys remained a strong focus, with Silver Circle Products and KultureToys both recognised for their impact.
Outdoor and creative play
Outdoor play continues to thrive, with winners including RMS USA and Rival Flyer highlighting a push toward active, social experiences.
Creative categories also delivered, with Rubies winning in dress-up and Zimpli Kids recognised in S.T.E.A.M. toys. In gaming, Red Games Co took home Family-Friendly Game of the Year.
Industry leaders recognised
Major players in the industry were also honoured. Mattel was named Toy Company of the Year, while LEGO Group earned Toy Innovation of the Year. Walmart and Nintendo of America were recognised for their wider impact.
Additional awards went to Melissa & Doug, Green Toys, KiwiCo, and Hasbro, reflecting achievements in inclusivity, sustainability, and design.
