This classic board game is taking over Wrexham this summer

Wrexham-Opoly board game box features stylized text with a soccer ball, a scenic Wrexham skyline, and dice, celebrating Wrexham, Wales

A special collector's item celebrating one of Wales' most talked-about cities is about to hit the road!

Later this month, fans will be able to follow a two-day tour across Wrexham, stopping at some of the city's best-known landmarks, businesses and attractions. Better yet, many of them have earned a place on the board itself.

The official Wrexham edition of Monopoly is taking centre stage, with Nightingale House Hospice launching a roadshow that will showcase locations featured in the game while giving visitors the chance to pick up their own copy.

Around the City

Created in partnership with Winning Moves and Hasbro, the Wrexham-themed Monopoly board celebrates the people, places and businesses that have helped put the city on the map in recent years.

The roadshow begins on June 26 with a pop-up shop at Wrexham Lager before moving on to several spaces featured in the game, including Hotel Wrexham, The Turf, Wrexham AFC, Wrexham Miners and Wrexham University.

The first day concludes at Stori Brymbo, while day two takes in Xplore Science, St Giles' Parish Church and Vault 33 before finishing at Nightingale House Hospice's Regent Street shop.

A Community Effort

More than 30 local organisations supported the project by sponsoring squares on the board, helping create a version of Monopoly that feels uniquely Wrexham.

The game was developed through a collaboration between Nightingale House Hospice, Winning Moves, Wrexham AFC, Wrexham Lager and This is Wrecsam, with the aim of highlighting the city's growing profile while supporting local causes.

For a Good Cause

Beyond celebrating local landmarks, every copy sold will help fund Nightingale House Hospice's free services for patients and families across the region.

That means whether you're a board game collector, a proud Wrexham resident or simply curious to see who made it onto the board, picking up a copy will support an important cause at the same time.

And let's be honest, how often do you get the chance to buy Mayfair, pass Go and celebrate your local football club all in the same game?
