Massive news in 2026 as one of the most iconic films, and in my opinion, one of the greatest films ever made is being reintroduced to the Tabletop. 2026 will hopefully see a Kickstarter launch for Terminator 2: The Board Game.
I am beyond excited with such news as it is a favourite film of mine. The Terminator is just iconic and I can only imagine the hype around it in 1991 when it was first made. Now as boardgamers, we get the opportunity to play out this film on the board.
From what is being said, players will have the opportunity to play as John Connor, Sarah Connor or the T-800 in a desperate attempt to evade the T-1000 Terminator. We’re told it is for one to three players to play cooperatively or add a fourth in for a competitive game. Not typical player participation numbers.
The game designer is Mohammed Al-Qadi. He is the designer of the board games All Time Wrestling and Conqueror: Final Conquest, which earned 8.2 points out of 10 on the BoardGameGeek portal.
This game has been attempted before and arguably with mixed success. In this modern era of board gaming I hope the team getting around this one can deliver because I am buzzing for it. I cannot wait to see more information and releases on it.
