Pokémon reveals five standout cards from Mega Evolution: Delta Reign

The next Pokémon TCG expansion is bringing some seriously strange cards to the table, from a two-card Stadium to a Hypno that gets stronger the more cards your opponent is holding. Mega Evolution: Delta Reign is set to launch on November 6, 2026, and Pokémon has now shown off five more cards from the upcoming expansion. Alongside some striking artwork, the new cards introduce a handful of interesting effects that could have an impact on the competitive scene. Here are five cards worth keeping an eye on when Mega Evolution: Delta Reign arrives.

Hypno

Hypno has never exactly been the most comforting Pokémon, and this latest card isn't doing much to improve its reputation. Illustrated by debuting artist Yuta Kawazu, Hypno is presented with bold lines and heavy shading that give the Pokémon a particularly unsettling appearance. The artwork certainly fits the Hypnosis Pokémon, but its attack could be even more interesting for players. Hypno's Mind Ruler attack deals 20 damage for every card in your opponent's hand. That means its damage output can vary wildly depending on the situation, but a large opposing hand could turn Hypno into a surprisingly dangerous attacker. With cards such as Alakazam and Drakloak encouraging players to keep plenty of cards in their hands, there could be opportunities for Hypno to hit much harder than its modest attack might initially suggest.

Kecleon

Kecleon gets one of the more colourful cards in the set, with its latest artwork surrounding the Pokémon with vibrant plants and flowers. Its Colorful Whip attack follows the same theme, rewarding players for having Pokémon of different types in their hand. You can reveal any number of Pokémon from your hand, with the attack dealing 30 damage for every different type revealed. The Standard format currently has 10 Pokémon types, meaning Kecleon can potentially deal up to 300 damage if you can reveal one Pokémon of each type. Players using Expanded have even more room to experiment, as Fairy-type Pokémon remain available in the format. That pushes Kecleon's theoretical maximum to 330 damage. Getting that many different types into your hand won't exactly be straightforward, but anyone who manages it will certainly have one of the more unusual decks around.

Enamorus

Not every card needs to bring a complicated attack or competitive gimmick, and Enamorus is here to prove it. This beautiful illustration rare, created by Taira Akitsu, depicts the Love-Hate Pokémon surrounded by a peaceful mountain landscape. Snow-covered peaks tower in the background, while pink heart-shaped details and a lone flower add a softer touch to the scene. The artwork gives Enamorus a particularly serene appearance, making it one of the more visually striking cards revealed from Mega Evolution: Delta Reign so far.

Legendary Pyroduct

Things get considerably stranger with Legendary Pyroduct, a new Stadium card that requires two separate cards to play. Pokémon LEGEND cards and Pokémon V-UNION cards have previously used multiple cards to represent a single Pokémon, but Legendary Pyroduct is taking that idea in a different direction. The Stadium is made up of two cards, both featuring a huge volcanic landscape filled with Growlithe, Magmar, Steelix, and Heatmor. The artwork is impressive, but its effect could be the real reason players take notice. While Legendary Pyroduct is in play, neither player's Evolution Pokémon have Abilities. That can shut down several useful effects, including Drakloak's Recon Directive, Alakazam's Psychic Draw, and Dudunsparce's Run Away Draw. The catch is getting both pieces of the Stadium into play and keeping them there. Opponents can remove the Stadium, potentially making the setup a risky investment. However, combining it with disruption cards such as Unfair Stamp or Special Red Card could make it considerably more difficult for an opponent to recover.

Aarune

Rounding out the reveal is Aarune, who receives a special illustration rare showing off the character's adventurous side. Fans of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will recognise Aarune as an expert on Super-Secret Bases. The card's artwork by Shimaris Yukichi gives him a playful, almost chibi-like appearance while still capturing his enthusiasm for exploration. Aarune also has a useful effect to match the character's adventurous reputation. His ability allows players to search for up to three Supporter and Stadium cards in any combination. That makes Aarune particularly interesting alongside Legendary Pyroduct. If you're building around the unusual two-card Stadium, Aarune could help you find the pieces needed to get the strategy moving. With Mega Evolution: Delta Reign arriving on November 6, these five cards offer another glimpse at what the expansion has in store. Between unusual mechanics, powerful disruption, and some seriously impressive artwork, there should be plenty for Pokémon TCG players to experiment with when the set launches.
