Birdwood games announced today that they are getting ready to launch a Kickstarter campaign for their first game – Dog Park! In the expansion, known as New Tricks, there are more dogs to walk, more places in the park to explore, and a trainer has been hired to improve your doggies.
The news announcement continues that the expansion “adds three major elements to the Dog Park board game: multi-breed dogs, Trick training, and Super Locations. You are still trying to become the most accomplished walker by earning the most Reputation, but now you have more layers of strategy to explore and use to your advantage.” You can also adds a fifth player, which can be played with or without New Tricks, increasing the tightness of the action selection in the park. I playtested some of the expansion stuff and all I can say is if you liked Dog Park, there is more to love coming along. There are new abilities, and the very intriguing Super Locations that will change up the gameplay.
These dogs will be let out of their Kickstarter kennels in the summer of 2023, so keep an eye out for some future news.
