Big news announced today by Iello Games on social media. They will be exhibiting their latest King of Tokyo Expansion at Essen Spiel this 2025 event: Mind Bug. What timing!
I’m a huge fan of the game so any news on expansions is a win for me.
Gigantic portals open in the sky above Tokyo: Mindbugs have traveled from another dimension to lay claim to the city. However, they are not alone: small, tentacled mindcontrolling creatures, the Mindbugs, are coming to your aid.
This one almost feels like it has been kept quiet. I’ve really not picked up on it at all but it is coming out with a bang this week .From what I can see we have new monsters coming, additional dice stealing chaos and new power cards which always bring more entertainment to the game.
It’s not the clearest as to when fans get your hands on it. Iello are saying October (may well be selling at Essen Spiel. Others are suggesting it will be available at the end of the year but can pre order now. It could be different depending on which country you are from.
The anti has very much been upped, you are not just fighting to be the King of Tokyo now, but fighting to be the Ultra-Dimensional King. Bring it on!
