Hasbro brings Monopoly, Guess Who? and Life to Tonies

A Monopoly character holding money leans playfully against a red Toniebox. Text reads "Rediscover family favourites, reimagined for Tonieplay." Logos for Tonies and Hasbro Games are below. The tone is playful and inviting

Hasbro has teamed up with Tonies to launch three new Tonieplay experiences that reimagine some of its most recognisable board games for a screen-free, audio-led format aimed at younger players.

The collaboration introduces interactive versions of Monopoly, Guess Who?, and The Game of Life, designed for the Toniebox 2 system. Instead of traditional board play, children are guided through story-led audio experiences where listening, choices, and simple decision-making shape the game.

Classic games, reworked

The new releases sit under Tonieplay, Tonies’ interactive audio gaming platform.

Each title reimagines a familiar Hasbro game in a new format:

  • Monopoly: Real Estate Rush (7+) focuses on faster, real-time decisions around building and trading
  • Guess Who?: Monster Mysteries (5+) uses audio clues and character voices for deduction-based play
  • The Game of Life (5+) becomes a branching story where choices shape outcomes

The goal is not to replicate board gameplay exactly, but to translate familiar ideas into audio-led experiences.

Screen-free play focus

The Toniebox 2 system removes screens entirely, relying on spoken instructions, sound effects, and narration to guide players.

The format is designed to support independent play, encourage decision-making, and keep younger children engaged without complex setup or long waiting times between turns.

A different take on board game ideas

Each game shifts the original concept into something more streamlined and accessible. Monopoly becomes faster and more continuous, Guess Who? leans into listening and deduction, and The Game of Life focuses on narrative choices rather than board progression.

Release details

All three Tonieplay titles are available now as part of the Hasbro and Tonies collaboration, expanding how classic board game brands are adapted into interactive audio experiences for younger audiences.

It’s a clear step away from traditional tabletop formats, but one that keeps the core identity of each game intact in a new form.
