The world of tabletop gaming is turning the page into Kentaro Miura’s brutal Berserk manga series with Berserk: The Board Game. The publisher, Monolith Board Games, has launched the first official board game adaptation on Gamefound, a crowdfunding platform. So far, the game has already received an amazing €2,402,924!
The Game: What We Know
Berserk: The Board Game is designed for 1-5 players, each taking up the weapons of iconic characters, including, Serpico, Farnese, Isidro, Shierke, and Guts (of course). Each character comes with its own miniature waiting to be painted!
Fan of the manga? You will be in for a treat with tons of the artwork from the original story being used in the board game! The actions cards that compose each character’s deck feature memorable moments from the series, tying in enemies and more from book to tabletop. The core game box will include an 11 Act campaign taking place during the Millennium Falcon arc, however, there is a Black Swordsman expansion available during the campaign which allows you to build your own adventures with loads of combinations to choose from!
