Anime fans and board gamers unite! If you spent most of your childhood trying to turn Super Saiyan, we have some crazy news...
The legendary Dragon Ball Z is officially making it's way into the tabletop gaming space in a massive way!
Lynnvander Studios and Pop Art Games have officially announced Dragon Ball Z: The Board Game Saga. This new game will be a cooperative, campaign-driven adventure designed for 1-4 players.
Play as Earth's Mightiest Heroes
This game will allow you to become some of Dragon Ball's most popular heroes, such as Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan. The game play will centre around an episodic delivery - players will get to experience individual story lines that directly reflect story arcs from the anime.
You will be able to link together multiple stories for a narrative campaign or pick one for a standalone night of fun. Designer Tommy Gofton has said that this game beautifully bridges the gap between the TV screen and the tabletop.
Gameplay
Dragon Ball Z: The Board Game Saga will merge strategy, dice-rolling, and combat mechanics into a dynamic and unpredictable narrative. As seen in the anime, your power level will dictate how many actions you can perform each turn. Players must carefully manage their character's stress during play, ensuring they don't exhaust themselves.
You can expect Dragon Ball Z: The Board Game Saga to hit Kickstarter on 9th June 2026, so get ready to power up your summer! Head over to their preview page now to find out more.
