What to tell you about myself and my gaming hobby…well I’m a bit all over the place when it comes to gaming if I’m honest, but I do have a few firm favourites. For a start I’ve been a big Warhammer 40k fan all my life. I know I know, it’s almost a cliche at this point, but it’s good for a reason. I enjoy building and painting the models, battling with a regular group in Salford, and reading the expansive lore. Did you know there are over 500 books in the 40k universe?!

Ok, so when I’m not Warhammering away, what else am I playing. Well my partner and I have a collection of about 30 boardgames. They are quite varied but some of our favourites are Hive, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Ticket to Ride, and our Disney Villainous collection. Those get played on a regular basis, but when I want something a bit bigger I bust out Tales of Arabian Nights/Arthurian Knights, for hilarious epic adventures.

One of my favourite things in the gaming world is meeting creators of games and getting to chat to them about their passion. I’m lucky enough so far to have spoken to John Yianni, the creator of Hive, and Nich Angell, the creator of the Colostle RPGs. Fingers crossed I’ll meet some more soon!
