Hello everyone! I'm Emma: an Edinburgh-based board game & video game enthusiast with a love of fantasy & crime novels. I've been a PC gamer for the better part of 15 years, and got into board games a lot more during the pandemic as a way to reduce screen time. I have a degree in Forensic Biology (too many Patricia Cornwell novels at an impressionable age!) and work in Project Management for a software company, both of which serve me well in strategy-based games. From video games like XCOM and Civilisation to board games like Risk and Ark Nova, I love the process of working out a winning strategy and being able to pivot based on what your opponents decide to do. When I’m not gaming, I’m an avid badminton player and I love to travel both around the UK and abroad.
