I've never been one for big trends, well... until I fell in love with YouTube shorts. But as a child, Disney was there, Beauty and the Beast in Blakeney at my Grandma Jean's house was my magic. But, other than that, I was chill about it all, and much, much more focused on SpongeBob Squarepants, Bagpuss, Dick and Dom in the Bungalow, Raven, Big Cook Little Cook, and, to add the inevitable random factor, Nothing to Declare.
But then Lorcana came along. And I FELL IN LOVE with Disney for the first time, as an adult. Disney this, Disney that, a Piglet Loungefly rucksack here, a Tigger Squishmallow there. Lorcana has truly changed my life. I love it SO. MUCH. So when I missed my connection in an airport, and saw this whimiscal, wintery Lorcana collector box, it was my answer and my faith in 'things being okay' again, restored.
I am a sucker for an aesthetic, through and through. Me and one of my best friends, we fell in love with the swirly, magical patterns and colours, a little sparkly snowstorm we just needed to see more of, in this set. And when I got to show it to them, well, that was just as magic! The starter box comes with a binder book, to display the cards in, with the wonderful Stitch on the front. I love how this matches the booster pack design, little girly stitch, Angel (true to her name). Well, it's ACTUALLY not a design exclusive to the booster packs, but booster packs are life, heaven, everything, so any opportunity for me to mention them, is going to be maximised to the absolute limit. To the detriment of my loved ones. Booster packs, booster packs, booster packs. What savings goal?! No, not me, I need booster packs! I don't need a dog, a woofer, I need BOOSTER PACKS. Lorcana BOOSTER PACKS.
The binder book was my favourite part, I think, which says a lot, because this is my favourite set so far, and the aesthetic really does mean a lot to me. If you hadn't guessed that yet. But I need to move on to complete this blog. Sparkles, sparkles, sparkles in my eyes, is all I'm going to say. And no, I'm not having a health crisis requiring the dreaded trip to A and E.
Okay, focus ELLABELLA! It was good timing really, having my first Lorcana Binder book with the prettiest set, because they're so nice, that I couldn't even imagine justifying adding them to a deck. DISPLAY ONLY! and I LOVE a juicy game (or 3!) or Lorcana, so that says a lot. And even more, I love the rare occasions I win!
Complete with an exclusive Stitch Winterspell Foil too, was a massive pull to this purchase. It was a gravitational matter that was only going to end one way, with it in my bag! One of the best purchases of my life. And I am a woman of my word.
In summary, ahem, drum roll.... Buy this product. Today. You won't regret it, I truly swear.
