I spotted The Well-being Game on social media recently and got very excited as it shares the name of my instagram page “the Wellbeing Gamer” which I thought was amazing. Then I look a little closer at it and it looks like an incredibly cool game.
Better Life Games are the publishers of this one. From what I have learned about them, they are a small family run business that focus on creating games that have a real world impact. What could be more important than the wellbeing of people?
Here is the basic information on the game, the quick facts as the creators describe it.
● Players: 2-8 (flexible)
● Playtime: 60-120 min (depending on group size)
● Age: 18+ (mature teenagers have played it and enjoyed it as well although the game is primarily meant for adults)
● Language: English
However you read over the Kickstarter page, (and that is a point, it is already live on Kickstarter with the project having hit its target pledge already,) there is a huge amount of depth and research gone into the creation of this game. Too much content to get into on this news post but it is well worth a look at because it does appear to take quite a deep dive into people’s wellbeing which I am hugely passionate about, having had my own challenges here in life.
The game itself looks like it will spark some good conversations, and the creators note it is an adult game suggesting the content will be quite mature and not necessarily appropriate for younger people who are developing.
Congratulations Better Life Games on smashing your goal on Kickstarter, hopefully you have many more backers still to come on your campaign. If you are interested in backing them you have until the 29th May 2026 to do so.
