Techland Teases New Dying Light Projects

As Dying Light marks its 10th anniversary, developer Techland has revealed ambitious plans for the franchise, teasing multiple unannounced projects that will expand the zombie universe beyond video games. Fans can look forward to fresh content in the form of board games, a webcomic series, and more.

First released on 26th January 2015, Dying Light quickly became a massive hit, selling over 20 million copies by 2022. Its sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, arrived in 2022, alongside the recent 18-hour standalone adventure Dying Light: The Beast. Now, Techland is looking to cement Dying Light as the “ultimate zombie experience.”

“Our goal is to bring the world of Dying Light to even more people,” Techland stated. “From ongoing support for our released games to Dying Light: The Beast and beyond, there’s never been a better time to be a Dying Light fan.”

What’s Next for Dying Light?

Techland is gearing up to release updates for both Dying Light 1 and Dying Light 2 “very soon.” The first game will see returning fan-favorite events, new rewards, and a suite of enhancements, including improved visuals and a remastered soundtrack. Meanwhile, Dying Light 2 will receive further prologue adjustments, and its roguelite Tower Raid mode will become a permanent feature.
