Avalon Hill has unveiled three titles arriving this summer, offering a mix of quick-play cards, classic deduction, and narrative-driven fantasy. The new releases include Guillotine, Fury of Dracula, and Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood, each bringing something a little different to the table.
A Classic Card Game Returns
Guillotine makes its return with a fresh edition of the fast-paced card game set during the French Revolution. Players take turns adjusting a line of nobles, aiming to claim the most valuable targets before their opponents do. With simple rules and a playtime of around 20 minutes, it remains an easy pick for a quick session. The game is scheduled to release on August 1.
Hunting Dracula
The fifth edition of Fury of Dracula revisits the gothic cat-and-mouse experience first designed by Stephen Hand. One player takes on the role of Dracula, moving in secret across Europe, while others work together as hunters to track him down. Known for its blend of deduction and tension, this updated version aims to refine the experience while keeping its core appeal intact. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
Expanding Talisman
Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood introduces a darker edge to the established fantasy setting, drawing inspiration from Dracula. Players can step into the roles of Mina Harker or Professor Van Helsing as they face new threats, events, and magical items. The expansion is set to launch earlier in the summer, arriving on June 5.
With these three releases, Avalon Hill continues to balance revisiting well-known titles with adding new layers to its existing games. Whether you prefer quick card play or longer, more thematic sessions, this summer’s lineup offers a few different directions to explore.
