It can play solo or up to five players, and it lasts for seven rounds. Every player has three workers that can visit various locations to do actions in typical worker placement fashion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBuildings are separated into three decks, and there are so, so many cards... This offers a fantastic opportunity for replay-ability. In round four you'll receive some personal building cards (these usually worth decent points, if built). Players have two rounds to try and build them, or else they'll join the public pool of buildings available, meaning an opponent could acquire it instead.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can also construct extra boats. The larger your fleet, the more fish you'll catch at the start of each round (boats are also worth points). Fish are, predictably, an important resource for earning money in Nusfjord!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eElders can be acquired, and these wise folk help you out (they're characters that act as an additional, personal-to-you worker placement option), but they require fish each round. You also have to place fish from your catch into various shares that you own (or your own shares that other people have bought), meaning sometimes you're left with very few fish for yourself!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTalking of shares, you can sell shares in your company (to earn a quick buck), or buy them back (or shares in other companies). Each active share you own is worth a point, while if you have any non-issued shares at the end, you'll lose points for them. Yes, there are lots of ways to both score - and lose! - points in Nusfjord, which means, along with the card variety, no two paths to victory will be the same.
