Dobble Marvel Emoji is a fast-paced family game where you compete to find matches between different cards. This game is suitable for ages 6+ and is designed to be played by groups of 2-8 players.

Dobble Marvel Emoji is packaged in a small, attractive tin, making it easy to keep handy at home or on trips. The tin contains a set of 55 circular cards and a small rulebook.
Each card has eight symbols. In this Marvel Emoji set, the symbols all reference notable Marvel characters and objects in a cute emoji style. You’ll find a wide range of different characters and symbols including Spider-Man, Captain America and Dr Strange as well as Loki’s scepter, the Infinity Gauntlet and Starlord’s blasters!
Gameplay
Dobble’s design is simple but very effective. Between any two cards in the set, there will always be exactly one symbol that matches. Finding the matching symbols is key to playing the five different games present in the rulebook.
The rulebook is very well written, clearly but succinctly outlining each of the five modes and providing a handy guide to the symbols used on the cards - useful in the event of an argument over which symbol is which!
The five modes included are:

The Tower: Each player is given one card and the rest are stacked in the middle of the table. Players attempt to spot a match between their card and the one on top of the tower. If a player spots a match, they take the card. The player with the most cards at the end wins.

The Well: One card is placed face up in the middle of the table and the rest are divided between the players. Players look for a match between the card at the top of their stack and the one in the ‘well’. If a player spots a match, they discard their card onto the ‘well’. The player who discards all their cards first wins.

Hot Potato: Each player receives one card face down. At the same time, the players reveal their cards on the palm of their hands. Each player tries to spot a match between their card and the cards of the other players. When a match is spotted, the player puts their card on top of the card with the match. Players aim to discard their card as quickly as possible with the final player ending up with a stack of cards in their hand. This game is played in rounds. The winner is the player with the most cards at the end of the agreed number of rounds.

The Poisoned Gift: Each player is given one card face down. The rest are arranged in a draw pile in the middle of the table. Players reveal their cards at the same time. Players look for matches between the centre card and the card of any of their opponents. If a match is spotted, the player places the centre card on the top of the matching opponent’s card. The player with the fewest cards when the draw pile is empty wins.

Triplet: Nine cards are laid out on the table in a 3x3 square. Players look for three matching symbols between the nine cards. If a matching symbol is spotted, the player collects the three cards and replenishes the square from the deck. The winner is the player with the most cards when no more matches can be made.
Family-Friendly
This game is perfect to play with a family. Dobble suggests an age range of age 6 - adult and it definitely is a game that adults and children can enjoy. Each round takes only a few minutes to play. The short, fast-paced rounds and simultaneous gameplay mean that there’s no downtime where younger children may grow bored. Dobble suggests that the game works best with between 2 and 8 players but it would work in larger groups too.
The rules for the five different games are pretty intuitive. Each mode is easy to learn but they all feel different enough to stay fun. The cute Marvel designs add extra interest for people who are a fan of superheroes, though some of the symbols may be a little hard to identify for people who don’t know the IP very well. There are a range of different themes of Dobble , making it fun to collect too.
