Springfield is coming to one of the world's biggest mobile games!
The Simpsons are officially joining MONOPOLY GO! as part of a major limited-time crossover running from June 3 until July 29, bringing new storylines, collectibles, mini-games and plenty of references for fans of the long-running animated series.
It's also a notable return for the iconic family, marking their first appearance in a mobile game collaboration in more than a decade.
Welcome to Springfield
The collaboration transforms large parts of MONOPOLY GO! with Simpsons-themed content inspired by some of the show's most memorable characters and locations.
At the centre of the event are narrative-driven Episodes, which introduce original stories every two weeks. Players can expect everything from Homer-caused nuclear disasters to mysteries unfolding inside Krustyland, all told through seasonal boards, sticker collections, mini-games and animated scenes.
New Events and Rewards
Each Episode introduces its own limited-time Sticker Set, packed with themed artwork, collectibles and exclusive rewards.
Players will also encounter The Simpsons Run, a new feature where characters take over the Free Parking space and trigger unique challenges across the board. Expect plenty of classic Simpsons humour, including Homer stumbling into nuclear waste and Marge showing off her famous dance moves.
Elsewhere, traditional shutdowns and bank heists receive a Springfield makeover, while a new "Bribe Wiggum" mechanic adds a chaotic twist to the classic Jail space.
Packed with References
Longtime fans should have plenty to discover throughout the event. More than 50 Simpsons-themed Chance Cards have been added, featuring references, jokes and memorable moments pulled from across the show's history.
The collaboration has also been supported by members of the Simpsons creative team, including longtime character designer Eric Keyes. An animated promotional short has even been produced featuring Will Ferrell as Mr. Monopoly and Harry Shearer reprising his role as Mr. Burns.
With nearly two months of content planned, this looks set to be one of MONOPOLY GO!'s biggest crossover events yet.
For Simpsons fans, it might just be the closest thing to buying Springfield and charging Homer rent.
